Icebreaker Festival - Al'Burrito - Kamikaze Test Pilots

Aloha - Ahoy

I'm definitely missing the summer sea, the warmth of the sun and the lush green forests full of wildflowers.
As the Baltic air & icy winds swirl across the country, the rain pours & the clouds sweep across the sky creating a blanket of grey; festival season seems a distant memory from a lifetime ago.

Fear not music friends & fellow festival lovers, there is one festival to rule them all, one festival to find them all, one festival to bring them all and in the winter bind them; that festival is every bit as cool as the name suggests, I am of course talking about ICEBREAKER.

 Location: Southsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK
When: Saturday January 28th 2017

A host of stages featuring the coolest and newest music sounds from the emerging music scene all brought together for one day, happening on Albert Road, Southsea.

Do not miss 2017's awesome lineup with stages set up in Portsmouth's most awesome music venues including Al'Burrito, The Wedgewood Rooms, The Atrium, The Fat Fox, Little Johnny Russells, One Eyed Dog and many more.

Of course what's a music festival without awesome music, here's my first pick of the bands you absolutely should be checking out, look out for more this weekend...

Music is a passion of mine, it started long ago and it's coursed through my being ever since. I love listening to, playing and immersing myself in music.

-

As 2016 draws to a close, the thing I have noticed is that through my blog, my little space for me to share is that I've found myself and while I've evolved in myself, my blog has evolved to a community space where I can share the music I love with you, where others have been able to join me in sharing their passion for music with the world too.
A place for musicians to connect with the industry and people across the world.

Through LBW I reconnected with myself, my spirit, the universe and to have the courage to say I didn't want to live a conventional way of life, but instead would walk my own path. I feel like wine, as though with each year, I develop more of my own character, flavour.

This little space inspired courage in me to follow my soul and trust my instincts in life. To live on the road, finding that balance between being lost to the world in nature and being connected to the world through music. I like my own space, my own time, it allows me to recharge, in learning to be okay alone, I found that I created more spiritual natural connections with friends, something infinite shared in a moment in time.

-

The challenge I've felt recently has been exploring further within the industry, connecting with more people as LBW continues to expand her horizons but without losing that sense of spirit, of character.
Without losing my own nomadic way of life.
I didn't want this space to become a corporate entity & I'm excited to invite more people to be part of the tribe, adventuring further into the industry without LBW losing that sense of spirit; we're a music community of people from around the world & we make a difference to the industry as we unite and share the sounds surfing in on the tides of the emerging music ocean.

We are independent in all that we are and do.

We harbour the magic music of the world at LBW, we're all nomads with a passion for music & we look forward to sharing more music, festivals and music scenes with you in the future but today we just want to thank you for supporting live emerging music and hope that you will continue to support the independent arts & music of the world as we do.
