Aloha, Ahoy
I wouldn't like to start chatting about the weather with you because there are so many more interesting topics to discuss, but I do just need to take a moment to appreciate the absolutely beautiful weather I've been immersed in on the south coast today.
-
With the glorious dazzling sunlight, the summer atmosphere has washed up on the golden sand of the shoreline & I have found myself day dreaming about distant lands & adventures that are floating on the horizon.
With festival season about to kick off for the year there's a definite stream of music flowing through my world. Everything from the loudest rock to the acoustic rhythm of my free spirited west coast musician friends.
The ingredients have been stirring quite long enough, I think it's time we shook this post & created the perfect summer playlist cocktail.

I'll be sharing my playlists on Spotify too; keep a weather eye on my Twitter & Facebook pages for links to my playlists & music.
The sun is out, the sea is calm, I'd say it's about time for my summer vibes emerging playlist.

I have loved this first band since I was first introduced to their music four years ago. Nahko influenced me to follow my heart & trust my instincts. Every feature I do with this band I feel like that love for their tunes is renewed. I love this song, the perfect tune to get the vibe right for summer... (and come see them on their UK tour)

Not long after being introduced to Nahko, I discovered Rising Appalachia, I love there folky indie-jazzy tunes. The personal lyrics & emotions behind the songs make them all the more beautiful...

CLOSER TO THE EDGE
Which brings me to the next artist in my summer playlist; A friend recommended this band to me today & as soon as the song started I just got it. It's too good.

WHERE THE LIGHTNING STRIKES
A little jump across the genre train now but this band I used to go and see when I was 13 and they were so awesome! It's always a nostalgia trip listening to them - this one goes out to all the kids who used to rock up to the void on a Saturday back at the turn of the century.

NOM DE PLUME
Whoa...so many good tunes, so many epic emerging bands... so if you're not heading to Download this weekend, do go to a live show and support your local music scene, it's very important to keep real music alive and rocking.
Well that's about all folks for this playlist.
Keep a weather eye on the horizon and do tune in and rock out to more music right here at LBW soon.
